Full
of old-world charm, the Inn is located just steps from some of the country's greatest
natural wonders, Old Faithful.
Undoubtedly the most impressive space
in the interior is the seven-story lobby that climbs ninety-two feet from the
floor. A stone fireplace, sixteen feet square at its base, dominates the southeast
corner of the lobby. The original dining room to the south of the lobby has
a roof structure of exposed log scissors trusses. A large stone fireplace is centered
on the south wall, constructed of the same rubble masonry as the lobby fireplace.
Throughout the Old House are original furnishings adding to the integrity of the
building and its spaces. The dining room still has the original rustic hickory
chairs from the Old Hickory Furniture Company. Leather-topped tables with brass
studs are in the Bear Pit. |
| | | And
The elegant Historic Hotel on Yellowstone Lake - You can also participate
in scheduled narrative talks by the Park Rangers. Please note that all park accommodations
are nonsmoking, and reflect the natural surroundings of Yellowstone; televisions,
radios, air conditioning, and Internet hookups are not available. Lake Yellowstone
Hotel, was completed in 1891 and restored to its 1920's grandeur in 1990. The
majestic hotel sits on the shore of Yellowstone Lake and is listed on the Register
of Historic Places. The serenity of Yellowstone Lake illuminates through the "Sun
Room" windows as guests daydream to the delicate sounds of a string quartet in
the lobby. A casually elegant restaurant features a delightfully extravagant menu.
Hotel guest rooms capture the historic 1920's ambiance and have a full bathroom
and telephone. |
 | Included
in your Package are tickets to attend a nightly professional Rodeo. |
| |
Yellowstone
Park. (Park fee is not included - it has been $25 per vehicle and provides
the visitor with a 7-day entrance permit for both Yellowstone and Grand Teton
National Parks). | |
 | Tour
the original cabins from the Old West including Butch Cassidy & The Sundance
Kid's hangout. | |
| The
Century-old adventure story of Wyoming has all the ingredients of a Classic Western.
In a colorful setting of vast rangeland and rugged mountains, a cast of Indians,
trappers, stockmen, farmers, miners and oilmen have played their roles in a sometimes
flamboyant, sometimes starkly simple drama of conflict and growth. The protagonist
of the tale - and probably the most enduring character in American lore - is the
cowboy, the very essence of the state. A trip to Wyoming isn't complete without
a visit to the Historical Center, a complex of five internationally-acclaimed
museums which brings the West to a world that would otherwise know about it only
through television and movies. | | | |
There
is a section devoted to Hand Guns & Rifles - past and present as well as a
Boone & Crocket trophy room. You
may stroll the historical streets or tour the Old Trail Town with the original
cabins from the Old West including Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid's hangout.

| One
night -The Inn features a theme that pays tribute to the history of the area
while offering all the modern amenities to comfort the weary traveler. Guests

and stories of founding fathers, memorable characters and events. Enjoy a cup
of coffee in front of the stone fireplace while you relax. Upon retiring for the
evening, guests will find the rooms large and thoughtfully well appointed; featuring
beautifully crafted lodge-pole pine furniture and comfortable pillow-top mattresses. |
Give them an hour and they will give you 100 years! This includes pass-around
relics and entertaining audio clips to share the story of world-famous William
F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody while they spotlight historical sites, scenic
vistas, geology, wildlife and old and new west attractions. You will ride in the
cozy oak interior of a festive red & green trolley and gain an overview of
all that Cody has to
offer. | |
