Includes Colorado River Smooth water Float Trip - Begin with an exciting ride down the two-mile long Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel. With the dam soaring 583 feet above, you will board a motorized pontoon raft for your journey downstream, where you will experience one of the most dramatic stretches of river found in the western United State. While underway, your experienced guide will tell the area's story of soaring sandstone cliffs, crystal blue-green waters, abundant wildlife, former inhavitation by native cultures, exploration by Major John Wesley Powell, and the river's modern role in the Southwest's water and power delivery system. Your trip will also include a stop to view ancient petroglyphs left by Ancestral Puebloan peoples. The river portion of your trip ends at historic Lees Ferry, where you will board a motor coach or van for the short ride back. This is one of the most popular trips in all of northern Arizona.

Throughout the park iron oxide has colored the sandstone a myriad shades of red, while more natural white hues have remained in various sections and layers. Water flow from rain, and river has etched through the rock and created deep chasms of twisted and convoluted mass. Elevations in the Park range from 4,000 feet in the valley floors to nearly 9,000 feet at the highest points.
